It was brought to our attention that the Door County Advocate made a publication error in regard to the Notice of Public Hearing and Notice of a Special Town Meeting of the Electors for the proposed Town of Gibraltar 2019 budget. The notice published in the paper listed an incorrect date.
The public hearing, to be immediately followed by a special meeting of the electors, is scheduled for Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 6 p.m. at the Gibraltar Town Center, 4097 Main Street, Fish Creek.
The correct notice that was submitted for publication can be viewed here.
The Door County Economic Development Corporation is conducting a county-wide survey about the Internet needs and wants of Door County residents. Rural areas like Door County struggle to keep up with broadband service and speed, which impacts the lives of residents and the ability to attract necessary workers and business owners. As a means to quantify concerns, the Door County Economic Development Corporation is asking residents to answer the following questionnaire. A hard copy of the questionnaire will be included with this year’s tax bill, or access the online survey here.
A breakdown of the 2019 proposed budget is posted online under Agendas & Minutes. To view, click here. A hard copy can also be viewed in the town office Monday through Friday between the hours of 10 am – 3 pm.
