Goals:

Each year the Plan Commission is tasked with a series of goals set at the annual joint meeting of the Plan Commission and Town Board. View past goals and the progress of current goals here.

Comprehensive Plan:

In September 2001, the Town of Gibraltar began the process of preparing a comprehensive plan in accordance with Wisconsin’s Smart Growth law. The plan was prepared by the Town Plan Commission with help from the Plan Commission sub-committees with help from Bay-Lake Regional Planning Commission, and approved by the Plan Commission, Town Board, and citizens of the Town of Gibraltar.

This plan is the first comprehensive plan for the Town of Gibraltar and prepared to meet the requirements of Wisconsin’s “Smart Growth” law (1999 Wisconsin Act 9) and adopted under the authority granted by Section 66.1001 of the Wisconsin Statures. The comprehensive plan is a policy document that provides a specific guide as to where future conservation, growth and development should occur within the community. The plan should be consulted when the Town makes decisions concerning land use and other issues impacting the development of the Town. This plan is scheduled to be updated in 2024.
